Who else is fed up with all the political campaigning BS!

I am not one to talk or discuss politics in any way, shape, or form. I do my civic duty and vote. The problem I have is the BOMBARDMENT of the phone calls from the presidential candidates running, not to mention the incesant knocks on my door from these people. The one candidate who seems to do it more than the others is Obama. I have told these people over and over again on the phone to stop calling me. And yet, they persist on ignoring my requests and continue to call every day.

I actually had one guy knock on my door this past Friday night and asked me who I was voting for. Personally I don't think it is any of his business. I did however see the big "Obama" pin on his coat and I did tell him, "well I am not voting for him". He tried to badger me into changing my mind. I told him, "sorry, but I have my reasons." I had to literally close the door on him to get him to leave.

I have no problems or issues with him being African American, the problem I have is the harrassment from his compaign committee via 10-15 phone calls a day, the almost daily visits to my home, the numermous flyers cluttering up my mailbox everyday, and the fact that he felt he did not have to put his hand on his heart during the pledge of allegiance. If he has that much disrespect for our flag, then how much respect does he really have for our country? As a veteran who served my country for 12 years, I find that distasteful, discusting, and disrespectful.

Sorry Mr. Obama, but you don't get my vote. Now tell your campaign committee to stop harrassing me!

Wedding

Well Scott and I got married Saturday (8/18) and everything went pretty well. We had over 60 people who came and that was nice. For the 32 other inconsiderate people that said they were definately coming and didn't bother to let us know they couldn't make it, you cost us over $450 for your meals we ordered for you that weren't eaten and we still had to pay for them. THANKS!!!! Remind me to return the favor someday!!

Well another birthday. The big 46! Ugghhh! Scott made me a nice dinner tonight for my birthday and made me strawberry shortcake for desert, my favorite and sang happy birthday to me. All in all it was a very good day, except for all this rain today.

Bear update

Well we washed the area of Scott's car yesterday that the bear hit, and amazingly, the marks we thought were scratches was only bear snots. LOL. The dent we thought was in the car, is actually not a dent at all. We can't believe there was actually no damage from the bear on the car. Well I guess it is safe to say that the 2007 Ford Focus' are definately bear proof. ;o)

Bear on 91

Well Scott and I had an interesting night last night. As we were driving back home from my parents in MA last night on 91, a mile before the VT welcome center, a stupid bear ran right into the side of Scott's car. Scared the living shit right out of us. Scott saw the bear running towards us and he told me to hold on. I had no idea what he was talking about until I looked over at him, and I saw the bear in his window and then BAMMMMMMMM! Damn thing moved the car sideways. Good thing he was driving and not me because I probably would have driven us down the embankment. So we pulled over and we didn't see the bear in the road, so he probably ran into the woods. We drove to the State Police Barracks and reported it. When we got home we took flashlights to check out how bad the damage was. I thought it would have been a much bigger dent with the way this bear hit the car, but it wasn't dented too bad, but it was all scratched up and a small dent on the rear quarter panel. Dumb ass bear.

This generation of kids needs to realize that when they reach the age of 18, their parents don't owe them a living. We have done our jobs of raising you and we are still paying off your bills they you incurred before the age of 18. They need to get off their asses and get a job and learn to support themselves like the rest of the world has to. Life isn't free! No one gave us a living when we turned 18. We had to get out and get jobs and support ourselves. Some of us even started working at the age of 15 and have been working ever since. This generation of kids seem to be a lazy generation and it scares me that they are our future. This is not saying too much about how bright our future is gonna look. These kids want this and want that all the time. If you want something, get a job and earn the things you want like the rest of us have to. Period! Stop sponging off your parents and society. Enough is enough. It is NOT beneath you to flip burgers at Mickey D's or Burger King. Everyone has to start somewhere. Stop crying about how bad you THINK your childhood was. Suck up and deal with it! No one has the perfect childhood. So lay off the excuses and stop your pity parties and just grow up. Pull your heads out of your asses, get a clue, stop milking the system, and get a job and be a responsible adult. Enough said. Period!

Well it's back to school time again. It was nice taking the summer off to regenerate my brain so I can start off fresh for the fall semester. Two years down and two more to go. Half way there. Yeah.
